
Abolish the charity fund and transfer its functions to the bank
His Excellency the Minister for Human Resources and Social Development, President of the Board of Directors of the Bank for Social Development, Engineer Ahmed Ben Suleiman Al-Rajjay, thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Samu and his Under-Secretariat -- for the decision of the Council of Ministers to abolish the terms of reference and functions of the Social Charital Fund and transfer it to the Social Development Bank, which would maximize impact and expand the services of the targeted citizens. His Excellency explained that the resolution extended the process of reform and the ongoing administrative structure, in harmonizing actions, in accordance with a comprehensive strategy and consolidating efforts to provide social benefits under one umbrella, reflecting the support and sponsorship of good leadership for the development sector in accordance with the Kingdom ' s 2030 vision. For his part, the Executive Chairman of the Bank for Social Development, Ibrahim Bin Hamad Al-Rachd, emphasized that moving the Fund ' s concerns to the work of the Bank would ensure the sustainability of services for the target group and open the way for more citizens to benefit from the services and programmes of the Bank ' s Financial and Non-Financial Social Development Bank, which was consistent with the Bank ' s strategy to empower citizens and provide effective support for their social and development needs, the main role since its inception of investors.
