Cooperation with the Ministry of Housing to support the labour market
The Ministry of Housing has signed a cooperation agreement with the Bank for Social Development to rehabilitate and finance small-scale land brokers, where the Bank will provide a package of financial products and non-financial services for the small-scale enterprise group to benefit from opportunities in the real estate sector, with a view to creating and rehabilitating both substantive and economic businesses. The Ministry of Housing signed the Convention as the Superintendent General of Land Regulatory, Engineer Mazen Ben Mohamed Al-Dawood, while Professor Said Bin Saleh Al-Zahrani represented the Bank for Social Development as Assistant Director General of the Microfinance Sector. The Convention is part of the role of the Bank for Social Development on Developmental Economic Empowerment. The Convention aims at the Bank for Social Development to finance land projects nominated by the Ministry of Housing, with the support of up to 300,000 rials. The Bank will also train and rehabilitate those who meet the requirements to manage and rehabilitate real estate facilities through training courses, to contribute to economic development from the real estate sector and to strengthen its attractiveness for young Saudi people and to develop sustainable housing services. It will be recalled that the Ministry of Housing has begun work on the rehabilitation of real estate offices to become accredited land brokering facilities through which a package of real-estate services that contribute to improving the efficiency and organization of the real-estate rental sector, facilitating procedures for dealing with the parties to the rental process and safeguarding their rights, thereby contributing to the development of the real estate sector in the Kingdom in general through the rent programme supervised by the Ministry.
