His Highness the Emir of the Northern Borders witnesses the signing of a cooperation agreement between the bank and Al-Awaiqila Charity Association

Today, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Northern Border Region of the Emirate, witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Social Development Bank, represented by the Director of the Bank’s branch in Arar, Youssef Al-Anazi, and Al-Uwaiqila Charity Association, represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Saud Al-Hassani.
The terms of the agreement include providing soft, interest-free loans to the association with the aim of activating the role of the non-profit sector by shifting from pastoral efforts to development efforts by enabling beneficiaries to carry out economic activities appropriate to their skills to achieve sustainability and growth of revenues and decent levels of decent living, in addition to enabling associations and civil society institutions to manage Loan portfolios to finance micro and micro projects, support productive families, and build their capabilities.
His Highness the Emir of the Northern Border Region welcomed this partnership that enhances the integrated coordination and cooperative efforts that achieve the desired efficiency in addressing issues of want and need within the framework of the state’s trends in shifting from need to sustainable production by relying more on the capabilities and personal skills of the needy, praising the distinguished qualitative partnerships that the region is witnessing in accordance with the concepts of Contemporary charitable work, stressing the importance of developing effective strategies and translated implementation plans measured by the results and benefits achieved on the ground, in order to activate this agreement in the optimal manner to reach the highest percentage of successful and sustainable projects and the lowest percentage of faltering and failed projects.
His Highness stated that this requires more in-depth analysis, accurate diagnosis, and practical innovative solutions, calling for studying successful local and international experiences in this field and using them as guidance to build a local therapeutic and developmental model that suits the needs of needy families in the region, stressing that the chances of success have become very high in light of the unlimited support from Due to the wise leadership, in accordance with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and in light of the comprehensive, integrated, effective and influential development initiatives launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, urging more cooperation and integration and activating the role of specialized charitable societies to integrate with government efforts in addressing all social issues.
