SDB Innovation Challenge

An interactive, on-site hackathon that brings together innovators and developers to create smart prototypes that address real challenges and support the beneficiaries of the Social Development Bank (SDB).

Over three days, participants will work in teams with guidance from experts and mentors in technology and finance to turn promising ideas into practical solutions that can be further developed and implemented.

Hackathon Tracks

Proposed ideas should be relevant to SDB’s work and should address one of the following challenges:

Track 1: Building a Smarter Journey for Small Businesses By Utilizing AI

Challenge:
Small businesses can face difficulties in meeting financing and investment requirements due to the scattered nature of needed information and different levels of readiness. This can make their financing journeys longer and can limit access to funding and investment opportunities.

Objective:
Develop AI-powered solutions that help create a smart and complete business profile, making it easier for small businesses to meet requirements, improve their readiness, and access financing and investment opportunities.

Track 2: Measuring and Maximizing the Impact of Freelancers By Utilizing Smart Technologies

Challenge:
There is a need for smarter ways to use data and AI to track freelancer performance, measure their development impact, and better understand their requirements and business progress.

Objective:
Develop data- and AI-powered solutions that help analyze freelancer performance and impact, providing useful insights to support the development of more effective and sustainable financial and non-financial solutions.
