The Bank for Social Development concluded the annual effectiveness of self-employment in its second version of 2024, which was established at King Abdullah Mali (Chad) Centre in Riyadh from 5 to 7 December, and was widely accepted by interested and self-employed persons and had a significant impact on raising awareness of the culture of self-employment, as well as expanding the beneficiary base of Bank products and services.
Through effectiveness, the Bank has reviewed its funding services, which are a gateway to opening up new prospects for ambitious citizens, enhancing their ability to achieve financial independence and contribute effectively to national development. Effectiveness has included offering spaces for self-employment practitioners on various tracks, specialized workshops provided by business leaders, and inspiring success stories have been highlighted for beneficiaries who have been able to translate their dreams into tangible achievements through Bank support.
On this occasion, the Executive Chairman of the Bank, Engineer Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al-Hamdi, said: " We seek to support the self-employed practitioners through this effectiveness, with a view to facilitating them to lead businesses and to highlighting their role in strengthening the national economy, with the total funding provided by the Bank ' s Social Development Bank for free labour practitioners since its inception reaching over 14 billion Saudi rials, benefiting over 224 thousand citizens and citizens, including over 40 thousand citizens.
The organization of this effectiveness with a view to emphasizing the Bank ' s role as a key partner in enabling self-employment practitioners through its innovative financing programmes and products, as well as developing a supportive and catalytic environment that allows practitioners to realize their professional and personal aspirations, is an obligation to achieve the Kingdom ' s 2030 vision in building a diverse and sustainable economy based on national competencies and enhancing its role in inclusive development.
