4.3 billion rials of Bank for Social Development funding in the first half of 2025

The Social Development Bank held its meeting for the second quarter of 2025, under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, the President of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Engineer Ahmed Bin Suleiman al-Rajjai, and in the presence of Council members, and discussed a number of topics on its agenda with a view to strengthening national efforts to serve citizens and support the development system of the Kingdom.
The Board was informed of the first half of this year ' s performance report, which highlighted the Bank ' s efforts to finance and empower business leaders and develop business models, with a total funding of 4.3 billion rials, benefiting more than 43,000 citizens from various parts of the Kingdom, distributed to support free labour practitioners and productive families with a value of 1.8 billion people, benefiting more than 18,000 people from free work and productive families, and financing small and emerging enterprises with more than 20,000 citizens.
The report referred to the recording of 40,000 new savings accounts until mid-year, reflecting the Bank ' s efforts to enable financial and savings planning for beneficiaries.
The report addressed the various initiatives and services provided by the Bank to support, support and develop businesses through the Delhi Business Centre, the 30th Avenue in which more than 4,000 enterprises are housed, and its programmes benefited more than 150,000 beneficiaries in 13 branches around the Kingdom, confirming the Bank ' s concern to provide its diverse services in all regions of the Kingdom, to achieve equal access to integrated packages of financial and non-financial services.
His Excellency Engineer Ahmed Bin Suleiman Al-Rajjai, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, and President of the Board of Directors of the Bank, appreciated the continued and unlimited support of the good leadership for development efforts, stressing that achievements during the first half of the year reflected the effectiveness of the Bank ' s strategic directions in empowering individuals and enterprises, stimulating citizens ' capacities and creating a attractive labour market for local and global capacities, in support for the national economy.
The Governing Council commended the remarkable success of the effectiveness of the Bank ' s fifty-fifth anniversary, the launch of Jeddah 30 at the headquarters of the General Administration of the Bank in Riyadh, sponsored and attended by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz, Prince of the Riyadh region, and the signing of a set of important development agreements with the non-profit sector, aimed at establishing a portfolio of funding to support for the construction of business solutions for nonprofit organizations.
The Executive Chairman of the Social Development Bank, Engineer Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al-Hamdi, stressed that these achievements reflected the central role of the Bank in supporting national development, through financing initiatives and services directed at various segments of society, and commended the generous care given by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Secretary-General-Kin-Keeping, which enabled the Bank to continue to empower business leaders and small and emerging enterprises and to promote the economic and social development paths of the Kingdom.
