- Check your message blacklist settings, if there are any contacts or phrases, it is better to remove them.
- Set the "Messages" app as the default app for sending and receiving messages.
- Check your available memory space; if it is full, it is better to delete some apps to free up space.
- Allow all permissions for the Messages app to work.
- Update the Messages app to the latest available version.
- Restart your device.
- Factory reset (last resort).
Open Settings, find Default apps, and select the messaging app as the default app.
- Open the "Messages" app.
- Tap on the three dots at the top right.
- Choose "Settings".
- Tap on "Block numbers and messages".
- Choose "Blocked messages".
- Unblock blocked messages.
